y would he make the drop there but decide not to here?Something tells me if he wrestled for Iowa, Penn St, Oklahoma State he would make the drop. But at this point if he is not certified at 125 he can't just decide to drop.
Wasn't taken a shot a Del or Rutgers, just saying that those programs have a way of convincing their wrestlers to drop even if it is not the healthiest for the wrestler.y would he make the drop there but decide not to here?
lots of speculation about Ohio State and Cornell having wrestlers cut below their "ideal" weight as well.Wasn't taken a shot a Del or Rutgers, just saying that those programs have a way of convincing their wrestlers to drop even if it is not the healthiest for the wrestler.
133 not settled yet-I can see Delv getting the slot back. 1-0 loss @ESU will be meaningless come Midlands. Why would a wrestler make the cut if he was @UI,PSU,OSU but not if he's @RU?? Silly statement.Something tells me if he wrestled for Iowa, Penn St, Oklahoma State he would make the drop. But at this point if he is not certified at 125 he can't just decide to drop.
Losing to Agaisse not that bad of a loss.McCabe pushed the match & was in on shot a few times but couldnt finish, but Agaisse had good defense. Remember Agaisse wrestled Suriano tough last yearI saw DelVec in wrestling matches several times, and he's got no fat to lose... Depth is good at 133lbs - and it'll keep the wrestlers fresh.
McCabe had a bad loss against that princeton dude, but I think he'll learn from it like Ash will and make him into a better wrestler at the end.
I gained about 2 inches in height and 40 pounds of girth after my wrestling career was over. It wasn't the initial cut that was bad for me, but maintaining throughout the season that was the killer. I don't think we'll see Delvecchio at 125, that cut didn't seem to work so well for him a few years ago.My close friend went to Yale. His roommate was a wrestler at Yale until the program got terminated. His friend, who was 5'7" until his sophomore year, grew to 6'2" when the wrestling program was no longer.
Yes, wrestling is a tough, tough sport, and after all the hard work, not eating what everyone else is eating can be very stressful.
