Color me RutgersAl, but I am starting to be concerned that the commitments are coming too fast and wondering if we are going to have to turn away better recruits, if we have a good year. Hear me out- If the defense is as good or better to start this season, the offensive line improves and protects Wimsatt better and allows us to run the ball well, and Wimsatt shows improvement with accuracy, it is not out of the question that we start off 4-1 by the end of September. Then, we have winnable games against Michigan State, Indiana, maybe Iowa, maybe Maryland. A better than .500 record with a bowl game is very possible based on how we start.
I am looking at other programs in the conference like Maryland and Michigan State, they both have 10 or fewer commitments right now. Are we going to lose some late deciders based on their scholarship availability as compared to our relative lack of availability at certain positions?
Don't get me wrong, I am happy with what we have, but I worry that a stud recruit like Josiah Brown may not find an availability should he decide to change his mind.
