There is an interesting piece about him on Youtube. He seems like a nice, grounded kid with a sense of humor about the issues being that tall brings.

Rioux was on the IMG Academy Blue team. Edey was a reserve on the IMG Academy National team.
Did Rioux reclass? Everything I have on him says 2024 but I don't follow him closely.
He looks a little awkward and stiff in those clips.

In his Junior FIBA games for Canada the last 3 years, he shot 2-6 (33.3%) from the foul line in 2021, 3-5 (60% ) in 2022, and 4-13 (30.8%) in 2023. Not a very big sample size and it doesn't include his IMG stats, but from these stats his free throw shooting seems a little iffy.... Overall it looks like he has some catching up on his coordination to do after growing so much..
Sometimes it's like that with Canadians. Because of a difference in the school system there and here, Canadians can almost always reclass "up."
