Army beating Pimple in the 4th Quarter

Army is going to be tough this year. They have been getting better. Like everyone else they need to stay healthy. Had a lot of injury problems last year.

The academies never quit. They just scored again and yes, Apple, Rhule should have jumped ship when he had the chance. By the way, pardon my lack of knowledge but isn't Adonis Jennings still at Temple? I haven't heard his name called. Or was he there for only last year.

Army looks decent... It's always tough to prepare for the academies...

Army just caught another big break... Poor choice on the return by temple.

1st Temple gets rejected by the BIG12 and now this.

Army hasn't won an away game in 6 years!

That streak is about to end as Army just scored another touchdown!

28-13 Army!

Army looks decent....Temple looks like a team that graduated a lot of players. Better crowd than they used to have though.

I don't think he is starting. I believe he gets in, but not the stud a 4 star he earned coming out of HS.

28-13 now. This isn't just about a "better" Army squad, either, IMHO. Been saying for a whiile now I expect Temple to struggle a little this year. They had a great season - no question - but against a schedule rated in the 80's somewhere. Also, while not getting hit hard with graduation on the 1st teams, they lost a couple of key OL and the heart-and-soul of their D. A schedule loaded with patsies (Charlotte AND Stony Brook), however, likely gets them to 7 wins this year despite tonight's loss.

Phillip Walker might want to go back to "PJ" after this performance. Yikes. 12-26, 168, 3 INT's

BTW - what's with Rhule constantly running out to the middle of the field? He's done it 4 or 5 times in the 2nd half alone. Weird.

Mike Acorse and the AAC teams will be meeting on Monday to discuss throwing Temple out of the conference like the old Big East did, and inviting Towson or Stony Brook to replace Temple.

See what an experienced senior dominated team can do, Temple last year. Young and inexperienced players this year. Rhule rolled the dice thinking he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, now watch his star fall quicker than a falling comet. Sould have gotten out while the getting was good.

From what I can see, a few more than usual

...the real test in the stands will be their next home game. Gotta admit I'm a bit shocked by this one; definitely a great win for Army and they deserve to enjoy this one. A couple of Temple fans kept harping all summer about how the graduation losses weren't a big deal and the guys they had coming in had more 'potential'...remember what Schiano said about 'potential'.

...unless they run off 11 wins in a row and/or win the AAC, TU's 15 minutes may not be just 'up', but the glass slipper may have also cut their foot.

Could be a rough year for the Temple trolls who were skulking around here last year.

While I think some of their posters are pretty cool, yeah, there's a few of them who are looking pretty f'n goofy right about now. Heck, even some of our own posters and visiting posters (SHUSource) kept saying how TU 'arrived' and is some sort of 'big shot' now. It reminded me of our board in the '06-07 offseason when a number of us thought that it would just 'always be this way'. Newsflash- with the exception of maybe 5-10 teams, generally it's not.

Exactly the scenario I thought of. I remember during that offseason, people thought the D would pick up right where it left off from 06 despite the players we lost

I posted about this on Mike Gibson (PAPreps) site a month or so back and specifically cited that as well. I've also said the same to SHUSource. Mike is a passionate fan, and like many passionate fans, tends to think all of the breaks and intangibles will always go your way, and all of your big recruits will always be better than the last guy. I'll take experience and guile over 'potential' almost any day of the week.
