ash reached out to legrand

Duggan article on that site. Will only provide quotes of Eric, which is not copyrighted:

"It's cool to see because the new staff comes in and you're like, 'I wonder if they're going to reach out at all?' " LeGrand said. "But from Day 1, he reached out."

"(Ash) showed me (his national championship) ring and everything and he said, 'This is what we're trying to build here and we want you to be a part of it as much as you want to be a part of it,' " LeGrand said. "Having him say that to me, it gives me the free reign. I can come up there whenever I want. He was like, 'This is your house. You're an alum here. You have a special place at this university, so whatever you want to do, whenever you want to come, you're more than welcome.' "

"Everyone was just walking around cool, treating me like I was already a part of the family, like it was normal having me there, which was cool to see," LeGrand said. "No one was all uptight or anything. They were like, 'E, what's going on man? It's great to meet you.' It made me feel welcome."

"He's (PARKER) a real down-to-earth, low-key guy," LeGrand said. "He told me that he wants to make me proud. He said, 'I heard you weren't one of the weak ones.' He knew some of my numbers in the weight room so we were joking around about that. He was just telling me his whole plan of what he wants to do with everybody and the type of the work ethic that they're expecting. They can't wait to get after these guys. They're going to work. The (players) that can make it, are going to make it, and the ones that aren't going to make it, aren't going to be there. It's going to be very interesting to see."

"Coach Ash said any events that I have, just let him know and he would love to come show his support and be there whenever I have one of my events," LeGrand said.

"It's so weird because I'm so used to going up there with Coach (Greg) Schiano and Coach (Kyle) Flood — it was like 15 years with the 'Chop' and everything," LeGrand said. "There's just so many new faces now. It's weird to see it. I didn't know how I was going to feel when I got up there and what type of atmosphere I was going into. I was kind of a little bit nervous at the time. You get to used to what was around you and what you're surrounded by and then you get up there and how comfortable they were with me, it was really cool to see."

I like your strategy regarding the SL.

Most if not all of our coaches followed him on Twitter after getting hired.

EL is an institution at Rutgers. And always will be.

New staff: successful, high energy and character. Lethal combination..... Love it.

Did anyone notice Coach Burnham's twitter handle? ShaneBurnham52... he wore 52 as a linebacker in college at the University of South Carolina. Great way of making a connection with Eric.
