My knock on Laviano is that he waits too long to make decisions as it seems like it always took him a while to go through his progressions. I also question his decision making. I think the offense is not going to be a wide open passing fest if he is at the controls. I have never been a huge advocate of his so I think the offense would have to rely more on the run and the O-line.
I don't expect Laviano to run if he doesn't have to. Now, will he tuck it and go more often than Nova? Probably. However, I wouldn't expect many designed runs other than the occasional 'fool you' type of play that comes out of the blue.
Ugh, well I guess we're a run team this year and we will not win games in the air or come from behind. I guess this isn't a surprise, but with the Caroo / Media Day hype... I had started to hope for a balanced offense... : (
