Hello Fellow Rutgers Supporters,
I know there have been a lot of threads in recent months from B1G Build Fund Volunteer Captains. I have decided to now start my own to try to help rally the troops and gain more support for our critical initiatives.
In life a test of character is what folks do when times are tough! Often in times like we are currently experiencing, staying on board or getting on board show who the toughest are, not fleeing or staying on the sidelines. Probably not the best day to send this email but it shows my continued commitment to Rutgers and Rutgers Athletics and I hope yours too. The loss Saturday to Michigan only highlights how critical support for facilities is and how critical getting more people involved is. I remain steadfast in my volunteer Captain’s role for the B1G Build to help get us moving in the direction we need to get to accomplish our key athletics building initiatives.
Some of you may know me from my past roles as a Major Gift Officer for Athletic Development (9 years) and prior to that in many roles with the Touchdown Club including President for my final 4 years. I retired from my Development Role in June of 2015 but may passion and love for Rutgers Athletics has never wavered. Those of you who know me, know that I bleed Rutgers!
I am asking you respectfully to support the Big Ten Build Fund doing whatever you can. I recognize not everyone can help and that many give everything they can to tickets, parking and other gifts they make. This thread is not intended to browbeat anyone or shoot down anyone who has not gotten involved.
Thank you to those of you who have already committed your support. To those who have been contemplating it, please step into the game doing whatever you can. It does add up. When you are visit schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska and others you get to see other facilities and realize how far we have to go to compete facility wise with the B1G boys! Maryland is also not sitting by idly!
I am posting a link below that you can visit to give on line.

I hope you will consider a 5 year commitment of at least $10 per month, hopefully more in many cases. If you would like to join my team, great, if not, just help! It is very easy to follow the link to read about it. When ready, click on the Donate Now section in the upper right hand corner.
If any of you would like to discuss or get more information, you can reach me at ddolan0409@gmail.com. We can then exchange emails and schedule some time to talk.
To date a total of $56.3 million has been committed including $31.3 million in private support and $25 million in tax credits. A long way still to go to the $100 million goal but it looks like the Multipurpose Sports Facility is a go and that much still needs to be done for the Soccer/Lacrosse/Tennis Complex and the Enhanced Football Complex.
Thanks in advance for your help to move the ship forward!
Doug
