Anyone know? Thinking our home slate has Michigan & Penn State as the 2 favorites for a night game, with Iowa having an outside chance.
I found some articles about it from a few years back, and they are permitted so long as all parties are in agreement. I guess before November 1st, the networks can dictate that the game be at night but after November 1st, the teams must consent in order for there to be a night game.BTN is against low ratings.
If a Nov. night game gets some pop in TV eyeballs we will play $$$
Hell Minnesota/Wisconsin Nov. day time temperatures are usually below night coastal temperatures in Nov.

Last year they released the night game schedule about this time, so we should know soon.
Good call we should know soon.BTN announced night games on 4/13/15 & 4/22/14 & ESPN/ABC announced on 4/23/15 & & 4/15/14, so I'm guessing any day now we'll hear from both.
Yea read that too but times they R a changing with 2 coastal newbies and competition for eyeballs$$$, rules fall by the wayside. We are fighting the Fox empire as well as the SEC and ACC network.
Yo folks this is war and media war at that, no holds bard (or Rules)
" unless TTFP agrees to a Nov night game"
Since when does the visiting team need to agree to a game time, isn't this up to the conference/tv networks?
Thanks!"Four years ago, the Big Ten clarified its November night games policy, saying that while a contractual provision exists between the league and its TV partners about prime-time games after Nov. 1, the games can take place if all parties are on board and planning begins early."

I would guess Iowa & Michigan could be 8 pm on BTN & @ tOSU 3:30 pm on ABC/ESPN.A couple of thoughts:
- we're not getting 3 B1G night games
- we're not getting 2 B1G night games in a 3-game stretch
- either Iowa or Michigan is a 3:30 game
I'm going with, for our home slate, the following:
Howard - Noon (yup, another "nooner" to open the season)
New Mexico - Noon or Night (praying for the latter)
Iowa - 3:30
Michigan - 8:00
Illinois - TBD
Indiana - TBD
PSU - TBD
I would guess Iowa & Michigan could be 8 pm on BTN & @ tOSU 3:30 pm on ABC/ESPN.
I think we could, unless TTFP agrees, in which case, add them over Iowa.I mean we're not getting 2 B1G night HOME games in a 3-game stretch. My bad.

Also doing the mudder. What time you figure it will be done?I'm also hoping the Michigan game is at night. I'm doing a Tough Mudder in the morning with my best friend's crew. (he's a Michigan fan and I gave him a standing invite to an RU game)
I think we could because they are early enough in the season, so worst case we're 2-3 going into Michigan, & I don't think tOSU will be a night game. One more try: we play 3 Iowa, @ OSU, Mich...IMHO we are NOT going to get BOTH of those home games at night. [thumb2]
Those games likely have very little to do with us getting two 8pm games on BTN because all of those games are likely to be ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 330 or prime time.First of all, the big B1G teams haven't played each other the past 2 years so those games will be taking top billing (osu, Mich vs. NE and Wisc). I say that just to say, couple that info with our 4-8 record last year and we probably should unfortunately he content with 1 night home game this year.
Secondly, 2 bigger B1G games on 9/24 (Wisc@MSU and psu@Mich) but none on 10/8. I was hoping for iowa to be at night but Michigan on 10/8 seems most likely.
First, I think if the network and conference want a given game to played under the lights then it will be. The individual schools could certainly express a preference but once a decision is made they'd be expected to deal with it.
It was leaked that Illinois plays Michigan St at 7pm. Sounds like the rest may be released soon.

I don't know about that. If that were true, why is Ohio State at Michigan never at night? Why is Michigan-Michigan State never a night game? Those would be absolute slam dunk prime times games.
In most instances TV rules, I agree but not 100 percent of the time.
