I was thinking about this today...should the B1G wrestling championship come to Rutgers in the near future, do you think the RAC is adequate to have the amount of mats/people?

If not, where would Rutgers host the event? The Rock? MSG?

Thoughts?

It would be great to host at The RAC, but we could probably only fit 3 mats without the temporary floor seats and risers on the ends, so I'm not sure that it's big enough. Don't they usually have 4 mats? Has Northwestern ever hosted it on campus, as Welsh is similar in size and seating capacity?
The Rock, maybe sooner than we think.
Go on...

They have used 4 mats. It has been held at Welsh but that was in 2011 prior to adding three schools. Minnesota and Penn State are the next two schools on the rotation. I am not sure when they will slide Maryland, Nebraska and Rutgers in.

Is PSU in 2020 a definite?

We hosted the EIWA at the RAC just prior to our B1G move using 3 mats I believe. I thought it was tight but went well. B1G tourney would be tough at RAC so going to the ROCK would be excellent.
