But venting is therapeutic.
1. FLOOD: The maddening stubbornness is one thing. That we knew since Kent St. But this current turmoil? We're unfortunately not immune to see our coaches implode. It usually happens in that other sport with the round ball. Bannon, Waters, Hill, Rice. All different, but the end result of embarrassing RU the same. And Kyle Flood is the last guy I would have thought of to join this infamous group. Can't see him surviving this in any way, shape, or form. And losing a recruiting class should not be a concern. The only concern is getting it right with the next hire. I'll gladly take Schiano, Golden if available, but prefer a proven winner like Pellini.
2. QB: I like the toughness and short field accuracy of Laviano. But after Kansas, I can't see him succeeding against the gauntlet of what's to come. At some point the other kid has to play. I would love to hear what Fridge's opinion is. His retirement as offensive coordinator really hurts right now. I believe he would be the acting Head Coach right now, and Rettig the starting QB. I could be wrong, but we'll never know.
3. AD: Julie's not Gruninger. She's not Mulcahy. We really don't know who she is yet. Both Head Coaches (Flood, Jordan) predated her. But the time is coming for her to show herself. Besides fund raising and building infrastructure, what type of coach will she hire? What's her vision for the program? These are vital questions that figure to be answered soon enough. And the fanbase is waiting anxiously.
