Through December 1 less than 4 weeks into the College Basketball season and there are only 16 teams left undefeated. Mind boggling . Unlike College Football where big time matchups early are rare ( Texas / Alabama this year ) , College Basketball with all the holiday tournaments , the challenges between the conference , and just top teams scheduling other top teams and knowing the result is not going to hurt them in March or that they have the rest of the season to make their case , makes this such an awesome sport.
Last night , with conference play getting started early in the bigger conferences ( Power 6) , # 1 Purdue goes down , # 3 UConn goes to # 7 Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse , Tennessee is 4-3 but still highly ranked because they lost to Purdue and Kansas in Maui . So many great matchups with high level basketball this early in the year. Kentucky dismantled a top 10 Miami team in one of the best shooting performances on the year but they have a loss because they have played Kansas.
Princeton is 7-0 and not 1 of their wins has been at home . That is very very hard to do no matter what team you are.
