This is a list we need to begin scouring immediately. Who do you think were on from this list. Im aware of the Washington big man. Who else are we in contention for/would you like?

There are 500+ transfers and likely to finish up with a list of 800 in total....that means we are just halfway through the process and all staffs around the country and looking at May graduates, Summer graduates that are not currently scheduled to finish up in May, etc...

I believe in more than half of these instances, these kids have an idea on where they want to go with a 2nd or 3rd choice already in place before they pull the trigger....whether the feeling is mutual for that program depends on the situation...

Usually its a past recruiting relationship where a coach is now at a different school OR the kid wants to play up in a conference that will drive the transfer process....going from Power 5 to Power 5 school is obvious, it's getting the mid-major kids to fit a role like Gettys did last year, that helps fill a hole on a roster, vs being asked to be a major contributor.

As much as we need shooting, targeting a shooting guard or point guard, may not be as valuable as a PF/C or Small Forward....depends on the need of each school looking and can that player come in and earn minutes quickly and boost their resume for overseas etc.

I think the closer a team is to the post season, the easier it may be for that kid to think they are landing on an NCAA caliber team, but those teams may likely already be set on their roster/rotation, unless they have a missing piece to their starting lineup that isn't on the roster.....the next level Bubble teams or NIT wannabes tend to land kids that want a larger role that they didn't enjoy on their prior team. That gives the rebuilding team an advantage to get an immediate starting caliber player.

Programs are not selling 30 minutes and 12-14 shots a game as much as they are pitching 20 minutes, go earn as many shots as you can, while we develop our underclassmen as a compliment to the roster. Schools have to be careful patching roster holes before developing their own players that think they will step up to a starting role.

The number one priority must be shooters because Rutgers has lost approximately 25 points per game with the loss of Gettys ,Johnson,Diallo and Laurent on a team that struggled to score 60 points against B1G competition.Filling the slots with just role/complementary players will make it very difficult to have a winning season next year.

The importance of a winning season can't be understated because 2017-2018 will have the graduation of 3/4 players who will play significant minutes.Their replacements will have little or no prior college experience. The longer the losing continues the harder it will be for Pikiell to have any traction in recruiting higher level players.

I don't know that anyone is really expecting a winning season next year. A few more conference wins might be the ceiling (6).

He is a guy I wouldn't mind taking a chance on but I think Wisconsin and Northwestern are looking at him.

The guys I would check on are:

Elijah Brown 18.8 ppg, 6'4" tall and 33% on 3's
Kameron Rooks 7' from Cal 4.9 ppg
Marcus Jackson 6'3" from Rice, 36.8% on 3's
Jack Whitman 6'9" from Wm. & Mary 10.1ppg & 5.4 rpg
Malik Alstork 6'4" Wright St. 19.0 ppg 38.7 % on 3's
Hans Brase 6'8" Princeton
Mikyle McIntosh 6'4" Il;linois State 12.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg & 34.8 % on 3's

Kendall Smith has already committed to Okla State

NCAA needs to set up this graduate transfer business as some sort of Waiver List like MLB. Graduate degree completion stats show the operation is an educational sham. The graduate transfer business just reinforces the gap between the Have's and Have Not's. Wishful thinking here ...

Laurent and Diallo combined for less than 4 ppg. I think we'll be able to replace that output. Do need transfers in or players to step up to replace Johnson an d Gettys scoring.

We need shooters and a big man period. I would love to get Geno

I love the rule as is. Kids complete their degree (like true scholar athletes should) and are rewarded to become free agents for their post grad if they desire. Truly benefits the students and can help teams fill a need.

I would like Hans to stay in NJ.

Hans left Lincoln uncommitted yesterday. I guess he has 2 more official visits lined up. One is to Maryland, and one is to Georgia Tech. He has used 2 already, one to Nebraska and one to Richmond. Sounds like he is going to remain quiet until done with his visits. He never said whether he was scheduling more or if that was his final list of schools. He gave the standard interview when he left Lincoln, great this, great that, loved this, loved that, yadda yadda yadda. TIFWIW

Matt Ryan from ND commits to Vandy.

No clue if RU was interested but IMO he s local kid who they should have made a try for.

Hans Brase despite moderate interest from SHU and RU, isn't interested in staying in the tri state area....SHU and RU also had interest in Henry Caruso, the other Princeton kid (SG) who missed most of the year and went back to his home state of California and committed to Santa Clara.

Matt Ryan picked a good spot with Coach Drew, to rebuild his game and at worse, he's allowed to hang out on the perimeter and shoot 3's and get better while he sits out a season.

With what you have said it doesn't really matter but I guess Hans is visiting Clemson starting tomorrow for his 5th visit.(not that he couldn't just hop on a train and visit RU from Princeton. Ha)

It is a shame. I think it is only 18 miles from Princeton to RU and he probably could really help us for one season.

Too bad -Hans would be the perfect replacement for CJ Gettys

Height/Weight: 6-9/235
Birthplace: Clover, SC
Team: Princeton Tigers
Class: Senior

I still like that guy Jack Whitman from William and Mary....mobile big guy that slide down to PF if needed. But, looks like he is visiting UNC, Clemson and George Washington.

Any grad transfers you know with interest besides the Washington player?

Higgs....I have not seen any. I rely on Twitter to see what's out there about guys visiting certain places. I also Google guys' name to see if any local press is announcing any visits. The article I located about Jack Whitman visiting UNC mentioned his other visits and interest in Clemson and George Washington.

We need to stay away from Kameron Rooks from Cal....he looks like a stiff.
