Big Ten Unveils Men's Basketball Postseason Honors

I thought Baker a shoe-in based on all the BTN comments during broadcasts....no longer surprised by any of this stuff. Nor am I in disagreement given the end season finish.

I luv the kid but Baker did not have a stellar B1G season imo.

Baker played 17 BIG games for 159 points at 9.4 ppg. Not counting the game the other day he would have averaged 10.0 ppg. I think his last four games he scored 7, 3, 6 and 0. I think he just got beaten down these last few weeks. Overall he is still averaging 10.5 ppg with 315 points in 30 games. I hope he has recovered much more by tomorrow and he can do much better.

Thought Eugene would get a Defensive knod with like 30 charges taken. Hes going to be a force next year if he can get a midrange.

He’s also become a great shot blocker both in the half court and on chase downs, and gets a lot of deflections. If we become a middle of the pack team, I’d bet he gets consideration as DPOY down the road. I can see him becoming a true defensive anchor from the back line for a top ranked national defense.

OK? 37% FG is somewhat underwhelming. But again I really like him and with a year of S&C and, I think, more scoring options for us on the court (I realize he and Corey were only guys that could create their own shots and opponents hedged on Geo too) he'll have a very solid Soph year and career at RU.

no point, just sharing.
one can only hope he does improve and shine.

Honors mostly go to the top teams but there are exceptions . 11 of the Top 15 on the first , second and third teams come from the top5 teams in conference. Happ, Carr, Murphy and Cowan broke through for the lower conference teams. I think Corey was slighted for what he had to do for Rutgers compared to the other guards, and should have been Honorable Mention. But when I see that neither Lindsey, Macintosh nor Law for Northwestern made any teams or Honorable Mention then I know the teams are selected based upon where the team finished.
Geo would have made the freshman team except his last 4 games and his flu game cost him . He hit the freshman wall , which was understandable, especially because he played too many minutes .

I'd agree with the inclusion of Davison and Frazier as the freshman team guards over Baker.

Conference stats:
Frazier: 29.6 min, 14.1 pts, 1.9 rb, 3.7 ast, 1.5 stl, 2.4 tov, 2.4 pf
Davison: 33.2 min, 11.9 pts, 2.6 rb, 2.8 ast, 1.1 stl, 2.3 tov, 3.6 pf
Baker: 32.5 min, 9.4 pts, 1.6 rb, 1.7 ast, 0.9 stl, 1.5 tov, 1.9 pf
