Ah. Got it. Big shift from 35 years ago when I played.The best players in NJ do not play high school soccer. I am not taking anything away from these players but US Developmental Academy players cannot play in high school. That would take about 80-100 of the best players in NJ out of the equation. We need players from NY Redbulls and PDA.
When did they start that? My cousin played for one and was allowed to high school soccer. The level of play was a joke to him but he still enjoyed it. I hate rules like that because I feel the kids miss out on part of a "normal" childhood. Just like I hate the specialization and many sport being year round.The best players in NJ do not play high school soccer.
