Breaking: Punishment Decided For Michigan Pitcher Caught Cheating

Should the Big Ten conduct a video review of all Weiss pitching in 2022 games?
At least review the Weiss appearances in the Big Ten tournament.

He is likely to have been cheating all season.
Of course, I am sure the Michigan coaching staff did not know about the illegal substance in his glove.

This is pathetic. There is a good chance that this guy did this other times during the season. Cheaters get rewarded once again with no punishment at all for Michigan as they still get to compete in the NCAA.

This isn’t “news” it’s the conference rule. We knew this on Sunday and unless it can be proven that the Michigan staff knew this guy was cheating you can’t punish the entire team. Now, should they go back and look at all the games he pitched in to see if he was cheating through those games (if it’s a apparent from film)? Yes, I believe so, and then he should be suspended 4 games for every time he did so (if he still has eligibility remaining).

Yes, if video review shows Weiss was cheating during the regular season, the suspensions should be cumulative.

If an opposing coach can see Weiss cheating, do you really think the Michigan coaching staff didn't know?

Of course, it was easy enough for Iowa coaches to spot the illegal substance in his glove.
Do you think the Michigan coaching staff did not know about the illegal substance in Weiss glove?

Rather than yet another apology, I think Michigan should be disqualified from the B1G which would then, by default, leave RU as the conference champion and a participant in the NCAA tournament. That would correct two wrongs in one decision.

Iowa has the bigger beef here than Rutgers. They lost the elimination game this guy was pitching in and could've advanced to the championship game if UM was DQ'd from the tourney.

I've posted this elsewhere but I think if a pitcher is suspended for 4 games for using a foreign substance, then the HC should also be suspended for 4 games. My rationale is either the coach knew about it, or if he didn't know then it would a deterrent for a player who wouldn't want to piss off and get his coach suspended.
