methinks Hopkins gets in to the tournament over Rutgers cause cascade wanted to debut those new helmets....

Fuk the NCAA and the NCAA lax selection committee. I'm glad Hopkins got smoked. I was pissed when we got snubbed. There's no way Marquette's coach should have been on that selection committee. I'm glad Marquette lost to UNC. There's no way they should have gotten a #6 seed. Next I'm rooting for Yale to smoke NAVY. We would have been a much better tournament opponent than both the Hop or Navy.

Hopkins doesn't wear Cascade helmets, but they clearly didn't belong in this game.

The people that chose this tournament have egg on their face,, that's for sure. There is a real chance Navy won't play well against Yale. They have had some shocking games where they score very few goals. That could happen again.

And if it does...?

They played 14 games. Two were losses to us. One a 7 goal beat down. The other a 2 goal win at their house in which we shut them out for the entire 4th quarter. I don't see how you even get beyond that and even look at SOS when comparing the 2 teams. We were clearly better than them.

Brown vs. Rutgers would have been a very fun game to watch and would have been good for the sport.

I seriously doubt we were a real NC contender but this selection committee cost RU a real shot at finishing as a top ten team. It is a shame. Maybe it helps this team play with a chip on their shoulder next year.

Maybe, but it's totally unfair to the kids on this team who deserved better.

Hopkins got embarrassed and the 6 seed Marquette lost to UNC on their home field.

"Brown is Rutgers on steroids." No, that's not the Star Ledger's latest attempt to do a hatchet job on RU football, it was Hopkins' coach's description of Brown.

Actually, my description is that Brown is Rutgers with a Top 5 D1 FOGO and a Top 5 D1 goalie.

BTW, who was it here that was saying the Ivy teams were overseeded? I know it wasn't you, Cal. Well, not this year.

The NCAA committee picking THE HOP...at ONE game over .500 for the dance is a disgrace. Well..hey..now HOP is .500.

We need a B10 team to come out with another team(Purdue, NW, Mich St,,someone!!!)
...so we can boot HOP to the ACC...

I said this awhile ago but was shouted down.

Like to see Sparty get back in. Or maybe Northwestern.

Never a fan of partial members in anything. And that goes back to the days of the BE Football Conference. You're all in or you're out.

Northwestern would be the most logical, as they currently have a quality woman's program. Probably a Title IX problem.

I've always hated it as well. Screw them.

Sparty had a team and dropped it.

I agree,,,,,THE HOP is like D3 in every sport but lax

The bottom line is the system is flawed. RPI as a measure is Bullsh*t. The selection committee was incompetent. Gene Doris the AD from Fairfield as the chair is a joke. He needs to be removed. They did nothing to promote a balanced field of the best competition instead they played favorites. I'd rather see an increase of the field to 32 and get rid of the conference championships.

On a side note Towson is giving Denver a run here. Would love to see Tierney and Denver go down. Not a fan of that guy.

I didn't say the Ivy was over seeded.

Towson had to win a play in game. Clearly that was incorrect. This team is good.

Navy played well. Their goalie stood on his head. Yale injuries were a factor with their best Defensemen.
