Caleb McConnell

Love Caleb. Hard to crack an NBA roster shooting 28% from 3 as a wing. If he could just get that up 5-10% he’d have a real shot.

Amazing. He cleaned up his shooting form so much. Wow!
Yet, still, his jump shot is a very slow, AND a very LOW, release (i.e. slow release, and at the height of a 6'0" player, from a 6'7" player ... he seems to release from maybe his chin). On the other hand he does seem to be finishing at the rim better than while in college, and has added a decent fadeaway 10-12 footer.

His defense ... as always, ridiculously good.

I would say his best use in the NBA might be as a defensive-minded PG - where he can use his height to best advantage ... but he is not really a PG (from a passing standpoint), and does not shoot the 3 well enough. MAYBE a 2G - but again, not a good enough 3-point shooter.

Ha - I was comparing to his college shot, which frankly was difficult to watch. And I say that as a huge Caleb stan.

His defense is out of this world.

You think they value that more in Europe?

He played through some serious injuries here and became an unreal lockdown defender. I hope he gets his shot

Showed a lot of people offensive moves (and quickness with the ball!!) that I don’t remember when he was here

Congrats to him for working on his game!
