Every year at these kinds of camps, there's a guy who winds up earning an offer on the strength of his performance. Last year, it was Delaware DB Darnell Savage and two years ago it was Maryland wide receiver Elliot Davis. This year, it was another out-of-stater in Devonte Young who made it a habit of beating defenders on Friday night. Young immediately passed the eyeball test and stood out from the rest of the pack. He checks in at a very solid 190 pounds and has good strength for a receiver. He also has nice speed and could use his quickness to lose defenders on shorter and his speed to leave defenders on deep balls. He had a habit of making one catch after the other and clearly separated himself from the rest of the competition. RU has a lot of offers out at the wide receiver position, but Young's performance made it difficult for RU to keep from offering him. Here is my article on Young.
