He's a talented 3 star who grew up a big RU fan. No doubt this one hurts. But I don't worry too much about any one recruit. I'm also excited to see who we can flip from other schools with our new coach. Can't worry about a 3 star.
hey I'm with you on the fact that more 4 stars or even a 5 would be nice but that's such a naive thing to say just because he's a 3 star. Can't worry about a 3 star.
Abro, I really respect your passion but this post is so over the top.He just Spit in the Face of Rutgers ! Both parents RU alums ! Grew up a devout RU fan. Where does this end ?

"Where does this end?"
The kid is one recruit. Yes, it stings but we won't know until signing day who replaces him. What if we flip a 4 star with a higher ceiling?
Cool, glad you weren't serious. My sarcasm meter didn't pick up on it.Sorry, I should have put a sarcasm emoji in there. I'll look for one now and edit it.
Yeh....because we just just have so many better player optonss to replace him with. Give me a break. He's the best athlete that was committed to RU. I don't care what his ranking is with Rivals. They got it wrong with Campbell. Those kind of kids don't grow on trees. Can't worry about a 3 star.
What fun would that be?Turns out people here should let things play out before calling him a bust or a god
But wait, I thought Ash was a great closer because "I would run through a wall after listening to his press conference" and because "Urban doesn't hire bad coordinators"... Turns out people here should let things play out before calling him a bust or a god
It's only a bad development if we don't replace Campbell with someone more aligned with Ash's approach. No reason to panic but not a good development. Ash visited with Campbell on Thursday and by Sunday he is gone. Ash's background is working with DBs. The kid's parents were season ticket holders and he has been coming to RU games for years.

Ash is reportedly making it clear to recruits that they have to play special teams first before they get to play on O or D. Perhaps Flood and crew were making other promises. No way to know for sure, but if Campbell switched to Pitt because he doesn't want to play special teams, then I'm okay with him going.
And you know this how? This is disappointing...not on ash at all, but the program that was left to ash
That's great. But clearly something he heard in the meeting w/Ash changed his mind. Or something Ash heard from him changed Ash's mind.Have you seen his film. This kid is a special teams demon in addition to being terrific safety/rb. He was easily one of RU top three recruits.
Lol please let this be sarcasmObviously not a "Rutgers man". Good riddance. Let's be honest, Ash probably told him to look elsewhere. Wasn't a top flight B1G caliber recruit. Ash wants to compete with OSU, not Indiana.
I think he was really Pitt bound for a while. He was not coming here with Flood as coach. Ash had very little time to recruit him. Good luck to the young man and let's move on.Lol please let this be sarcasm
With all of the commits or possible recruits that he could visit, there is no way he wastes his time visiting a kid to tell him to look elsewhere. Especially when he's short handed staff wise and the dead period is coming up. This visit was because he was visiting Pitt.Obviously not a "Rutgers man". Good riddance.
