Are they eligible for student tickets to the games?

It would be a bit surprising if Newark & Camden students are treated exactly the same as NB students as a portion of their student fees support athletics programs at their respective campuses first. That said, it would make sense that they're offered an opportunity to obtain tickets for NB athletic events and a mechanism to do so outside of the general public. Priority is likely offered to NB students and certainly if they don't absorb them or wait longer than a certain cutoff, it's great that they are made available to the other two campuses' students.

I wonder how many Newark or Camden students actually bother, especially if the football team, for example, has not been particularly competitive. I could also see that a subset of those not even coming to games to root for the home team but rather potentially being closet bandwagon jumpers of PSU, OSU, UMich, etc.

You’d be surprised at how many Rutgers-Newark students support their D1 brothers and sisters. They definitely care about the brand. Proudly.

Perhaps I would be. I certainly didn't think none existed, but just wondered if there were really that many overall. Great to hear there are a good number. Maybe even some NB students could take a cue from them.

I met a couple Rutgers-Newark students at the team hotel for the Texas Bowl in Houston back in 2006. One had an older brother who was a NB alum who didn't bother attending. Sometimes it makes a difference if folks are actually interested in sports but not everyone is nor should we expect them to be. Across a large population of students, some are just apathetic toward sports in general. But that's not surprising in the least, they even exist at Ohio State or Alabama, for example.
