He’s only a sophomore. By his senior year there is a real chance he will be the best goalie in the country. Certainly one of them if not. He may be right now.

Great they kept his redshirt. He was arguably the best goalie his first year and I know there was a real thought to play him.

Speaking on young players, had no idea Aiello was a freshman. With players like Soller, Kurdyla, and Aiello, coach is really building some foundation.

I'd add Sommer is a reshirt freshman, Vorang the same, Colin Kurdyla is a sophomore, Zeller is a rs freshman, Raphlian is a true freshman, Scalamndre is a freshman....there are a bunch of dudes playing who have 2 and 3 years left.

Damn. Also, these are big physical kids, can see how they push the other team around and it's enough for even the announcers to mention it. Guessing that's part of the recruiting goals of Brecht and not a coincidence? The type of player he's looking for?

No, it's very much by design. He's a big believer in athleticism. He will take an athlete who hasn't played a lot of lacrosse before he takes a kid who is skilled but not athletic. They can learn the skills of lacrosse. You can't learn to be 6'1"-6'2" +, 200 and able to fly up and down the field. When we are at our best it's those guys in the middle of the field that really make the difference. It was very apparent the first two games and likely will be tomorrow too.
