Well deserved kudos. He hustled, made at least one great pass, scored 7 points and kept us in the game while our starting PG was on the bench with foul trouble. Can’t ask much more from a freshman off the bench in a big game.
Everything about that diving play to get the ball epitomizes this team and Pikiel. Love it.
You could see his confidence growing after he made the three. His passes got crisper his handle was stronger, and a nice pass into Shaq Carter. He also looks to get the ball inside to the post players. And made his foul shots.
Hope he builds off this, gives Geo a break and possibly even playing along with Geo letting Geo play off the ball some.
Still waiting to see him taking his defender into the paint and rise over him for a 8-12 foot shot. That seemed to be his go to move in high school, that will tell me he is comfortable and confident.

I hope that extended first half playing time the other night helps Caleb grow as a player this season. Having another PG option will really help at some point this year when Geo has foul trouble or needs some rest in a winnable game.
