Well, it sure wouldn't take much to have more intensity than they just showed against Fordham.
I was pretty much onboard with the hope that this program was really becoming a force, even with the the two losses to ranked teams. But, the game against Fordham just took the wind out of my sails and made me think "same old Rutgers". Guess we'll see.
We actually played hard in the first half and if not for a buzzer bouncing 3 pointer, we would’ve up 8 at the half instead of 5. So we came out to play from the initial whistle. We looked bigger, stronger and forced bad shots. I don’t know what happened in the second half and why geo couldn’t get off the screen on the high pick and roll and neither could anyone versus Honor. The open threes all went in, their big man got free for layups and we couldn’t guard or rebound. The crowd played a role but it’s a game we really should have won. Credit their coach for making an adjustment that worked.Pike failed miserably to have his team ready top play Saturday which is unusual because they had been recently coming out to play at the start. I think they will be ready Saturday.
Generally agree but do we expect more than 300 RU fans?We have to take over the arena - don’t let our guys stay in any slumps too long. The fans can win this one, it’s that type of game
