Per Rotoworld:
Dolphins third-round WR Leonte Carroo could begin the season as a gameday inactive.

Carroo is locked into a roster spot, but he looks to be behind veteran Griff Whalen on the depth chart. With fellow rookie Jakeem Grant an important contributor on special teams, Carroo would likely be the odd man out on gameday. The rookie is extremely talented, but his path to redraft relevance is a long one.

I thought one wanted to retire in South Beach rather than play for them. You're all underrating Carroo's intellect. Adam Gase should be on the hot seat with his first decision as Miami HC being that he allowed himself to coach that dumpster fire.

But Carroo is a 4 star recruit and Jakeem Grant is a 3 star recruit. Carroo's ceiling is much higher. The coaches must not know what they are doing and should be fired.

Miami had some very talented WR's before ever Carroo got there. He's going to have to sit and wait till he gets his chance there or somewhere else.

If he was the lock many of us thought he'd have been drafted higher. Still have to think he has a good future. Great hands, route running, and decent speed are always needed.

This might be as much about Gase as it is about Carroo. DeVante Parker, their first round pick last year, was demoted to 3rd team behind Kenny Stills. Not saying Carroo doesn't need to improve, but Gase is definitely a coach that isn't afraid to light a fire under his guys.

He has better than decent speed. Like Ray Rice, his track time isn't anything special, but his football speed is excellent. He simply never got caught from behind, and getting separation was never a problem.

He is going to be just fine in the NFL. It just may take a year before it happens.

I fully expect Carroo to be a 7-10 year NFL guy. He beat B1G secondaries for tds regularly. Not many people on this planet who can do that and he will score a few tds for Miami this season and more in 2017. Count on it.

You can't be serious about this, correct. You are being tongue and cheek.

All NFL WR's have speed. I meant decent in terms of who he's competing against, not some guy off the street.

I hear you, and I'm saying that against other NFL players, on the field in pads, he has much better speed than just "decent."

Much like Ray Rice. When Rice was in college, he was knocked for not being that fast, mostly because until his NFL workouts, he only posted average 40 times.

But Rice was rarely caught from behind. Carroo was NEVER caught from behind.

Blame Julie
You're just not getting to the root of the problem. Blame it on Henry. If he hadn't donated money and a bell, that old Dutch school would've gone the way of the Dodo and we wouldn't be in this mess.

Sounds good but will he make the team on the active roster ? His preseason numbers are embarrassing.

3rd round picks rarely get cut in their first camp. Active roster? I'll say yes.

NFL is very competitive. Most of us at work don't get beaten by kids out of college. Carroo just has to hang in there and learn from the experienced players.
