I’ve been telling my family to prepare for some heavy hitters at the RAC this year.

Our conference games on the weekends will be one of the hottest tickets. The MSG game (if it happens) will also be a hot ticket.

Celebrities, athletes (current and former), rappers etc. will want to see Dylan and Ace up close.

Fat Joe is already hopping on the bandwagon with the Block R hat courtside at the Knicks game tonight.

Who’s your guesses for celebrities at the RAC or MSG game this year?

My 10 are:

- Spike Lee
- Adam Sandler
- Anthony Volpe
- Karl Anthony Towns
- Jalen Hurts
- Carmelo Anthony
- Lil Uzi Vert
- Dave Portnoy
- Gary Vaynerchuck
- Michael Rubin (Fanatics CEO) with a big rapper(s) or athlete(s)

Larry Johnson

Zach Braff

These aren’t really guesses. Just throwing spaghetti on the wall. Hopefully we live inside the top 20 most of the year as if that happens, I agree that many will want to come check us out.

Larry Johnson was courtside last year for a game a younger broad.

Boomer Esiason was courtside as well with Marco.

I think the celebs this year will be on a new level.

I was at the game with both LJ and Boomer, that’s why LJ made my list and Boomer should have!
If we win and the big 2 are healthy and playing…. Yes, another level.

Danny Glover of Lethal Weapon and many other movie fame was at a women's game a couple of years ago.
Several years ago at a women's game I spoke with Adam Duritz of Counting Crows while we were both waiting on line to get popcorn. Nice guy. He's a big fan of Cal, the team we were playing. Turns out he's a friend of Marco Battaglia and mentioned he also attended a Rutgers football game around that time. Must've been about 15 years ago.

Marco must have introduced Kyle Flood to Counting Crows lol

Danny Glover
Todd Frazier
Isiah Pachaeko
Victor Cruz
Boomer Esiason
Guys in yellow raincoats, I think they have a podcast or something similar to barstool
*** One off's or haven't seen in awhile

Phil Murphy
Mike Dabney
Ron Harper (when RHJ played)
Chris Carlin (sits behind me w/his wife)
Hobbs when he was AD
Marco - nearly every game
*** Regular or semi regulars

Uncle Bob after he retired
Multiple members of the football team
GS
*** Rutgers specific

One of the things I like doing every game is seeing everyone I know in their seats. It's what makes the Rac, the Rac
I always look for Big East Phil, BKin118, Powers, Garutti, Dean Kirschner, and my seatmates around me

Surprised nobody's mentioned Mark Walberg yet... doesn't he have some sort of NIL deal with Rutgers?

Also to those above who mentioned Danny Glover, what's his connection to RU womens hoops? Anybody know?

Danny Glover in the crowd

Long time family friend of one of the graduating seniors. RU side.

Which senior?

He looks fantastic for 77. And Lethal Weapon 5 is supposed to start filming this year, which should be interesting, since his character, Roger Murtaugh, complained that "he was too old" for police work in 1987. Thirty-seven years later. . . . .

Long time friend of Erica Lafayette's family. She's on the sweatshirts they're wearing.

Travolta is from NJ and a pretty big sports fan. They showed him at the Olympics a lot. Played basketball at Dwight morrow

Jim Gandolfini played at Park Ridge HS. 6th man. My buddy was his coach.

I believe they met because of Howard Stern - they all worked out at Chelsea Piers if I remember the story correctly.

Not specific to RAC (which he has likely returned to several times over the years and may do so this season as well) but I'm pretty sure I saw Hollis Copeland at the USC football game pregame tailgate.
Hollis is at many games. He is still a super nice dude. He lived in S.Tower his senior year. The ex-husband lived a couple doors down from him, and I lived a few floors up. Those were the days! 😇

Yup, at the RAC to see Matee a whole lot. Always wondered why they broke up.

Tom DeVito of NY Giants.

BTW I saw him at Game 5 of the World Series and he was wearing a #15 Yankees jersey with his name on it. What a cheese ball!
