From a look at his stats, I'd say that it doesn't appear as though he's going to challenge Federico for the starting job. However, it is good to have an experienced kicker on the roster who has seen significant playing time.
Not sure, but it is always good to have a back up plan or you will end up with a DT trying to kick the ball...
Strangely enough, football is the sport where the only players who touch the ball with their feet are the ones that others don't consider to be real football players.

The football name comes from it being a game played on foot rather than on a horse. Noting to do with kicking or it would be called kickball.
I remember kicking a home run in 5th grade during gym class. Never kicked a horse, though. Scourge, are you advocating a new sport called Kickhorse? I'm not sure we could afford that yet.
Uncle Ed swore that Villanova would get into the Big East football conference. And he was right. They might be better than Georgetown, and St Johns in football this year, not to mention Seton Hall and Marquette.
