Christie speaks out

Gee, thanks for the "Go away-I'm too busy trying to run for President" support of Rutgers.

he said,
“But they’re dealing with discipline problems with teenagers this is not shocking. You know I’m a father of four having discipline problems with teenagers is the normal course on a college campus.”
like him or not, he is right, good article, about how the media runs with the drama that will get them clicks

Gee, thanks for the "Go away-I'm too busy trying to run for President" support of Rutgers.

I don't think that is what he was saying. I think he was more framing it up in a bigger context of your guys worry too much abut the small stuff. Put it in perspective.

Anyway..he's been much more positive about Rutgers of late regardless and I'll take it. I think Mr. Sweeney (sp) has helped box him in a bit..

October 1, 2015 Unreported until today, it was learned that Pope Francis visited Rutgers during his recent trip to the US. While there, he, President Barchi and Governor Chris Christie went out on a boat on the Raritan. A sudden breeze blew the Pontiff's cap off. Waving away the trailing boats, Christie walked across the Raritan, picked up the cap and returned it to Francis.

RC Trooper's post on the subject: "Christie Can't Swim"

Christie: "Hey press calm down, kids will be kids, the University's got it and I'm still running for President you know". Lukewarm as far as I'm concerned.

That was a lot better than lukewarm! Nice response and got under Politi's skin.

You guys fall for Christie everytime, the ultimate 'tell them what they want to hear' guy. Of course he doesn't want the media in Rutgers business because he doesn't want them in his either. His administration is the only one in NJ that has more investigations going on than Rutgers. So yeah, my guess is his position would be for the media to back off...he is saying it about RU but it's also an extention to his own problems.

Since it is the state school any issues at the state school may reflect poorly on his presidential run. So he has reason to downplay it. That said, I feel the same way. It sucks but there is a bigger picture.

Wait until all of the facts come out.

I am patiently waiting for the conclusion of the Trials and Testimony from Bridge Gate and the Trials and Testimony of the 3 Penn State Administrators. Its been proceding in the courts for several years.

The wheels of justice grind slowly but they grind.

The Truth will set you free.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Like Jon Snow and Sergeant Schultz, I know nothing about this situation, other than what's reported so far, but I've got a feeling that the Guv, as is his habit, has spoken too soon.

I don't care about the messenger I care about the message. These last 2 things (arrests) are real problems no doubt about it. Tons of other things brought up are just hyped BS from the media. Point is there are going to be problems (real and imagined) anywhere let alone a large institution like RU, you deal with the real ones and move on. That's life in general.

Did the sky fall on PSU/Baylor or any other number of institutions where this unfortunate kind of stuff similar to ours off the field happens? No they deal with the stuff and move on. We'll find out what happened, and it may be terrible, we'll deal with it and move on.

Frankly only something of the level of Baylor (AD/coach)/PSU(prez/AD/coach) are when I recall a whole admin being removed. I can't think of any coach that was removed for player issues off the field issues that he/she wasn't personally involved in someway let alone an AD or prez. Again though the more you win the more rope you have, that's just reality. Whatever lousy news comes out, we'll endure it and go on with life, hopefully onto bigger and better things.

You people are all @ss.holes. the man is defending your school because he was asked and you just can't say "oh good comment"
Good comment from the most corrupt politician in America. He knows a thing or two about the media and investigations so I guess he is the perfect guy to defend us from this process. IMO, we'd be better off if he simply said nothing about us.
