Was wondering what our chances were with closing out this class with these names:
1) Valentin--word is that his Michigan offer is no longer commitable and we have a very good shot here.
2) Harmon--things are looking positive lately as he has been on campus recently and seems that he might be ours to lose
3) Pridgeon--Have no clue on this one but this will be a monster OL class if we land him and Valentin.
Harmon to me would give us 3 legit early playing time WR options between him, Mack and Wright....the best of those 2 might play alongside Agudosi, Patton and Grant. The others will likely red shirt and develop which is not a bad thing.
Pridgeon would be a day 1 starter for us and is probably the must get of this class. Valentin would be the cherry on top--bc he could be a 3 year starter for us as well and seems to be a very good player. The rest of our recruits seems like good players but guys that will redshirt and hopefully be solid contributors down the line.
Gettting all 3 of these guys in my opinion would give us the best recruiting class that RU has ever had. Really like Rene, Cambell and Hayes in the secondary....they will add much needed depth to our team next year with Austin, Boggs and Barnwell all coming back strong.
The LB's in our class are all solid...even if Reynolds flips...we have 3 excellent players in Pollock, Battle and manning. If Manning gets faster he could be a beast. The others are already very solid.
I love Hewitt at DT...think he will be a beast 2-3 years down the line once he gets some experience.
Russo at QB right now seems like an excellent pick up.
The only area I wish we would get an upgrade at is DE. you really could never have enough pass rushers in football and those guys could make the rest of the team better. Would love to get a high profile guy that would be able to compliment our team...similar to Turay. Hopefully next year the staff makes DE a major priority.
