After watching today's game either we weren't prepared or there isn't enough talent or both. They looked terrible today.

Talent is bad with flood's duds playing for us. Coaching is bad wth ash coming for us. We are getting trashed with ash. Combo

Ash thought it was wise to hire a 27 year old Wide Receivers Coach from Houston ( not the NFL but the American Athletic Conference and making $100k .... Yikes) to be a Offensive Coordinator in the B1G .
WTF Ash. And a Special Teams Coordinator who could not coach a high school this bad.
Change the staff now.

That is just crazy when you think about and it sinks in. Could Ash have a problem with ego and perhaps be threatened hiring a coach who actually had more experience and success than he did?

Both. And, if Ash can't hold this class together, we're in deep trouble unfortunately.

Drew is in way over his head.Terrible hire IMHO

The hiring of a coaching staff "on the cheap", combined with mid-level talent, is not cutting it in The B1G. We may have to wait until full share of B1G money arrives. Still not a guarantee. Bummer for us older fans. The possibility of never seeing RU get over the hump looms large for us long time fans. That really sucks.

Reality is this team realized it wasn't very good a few weeks ago. They are just going through motions now. Maybe PSU sparks something. Probably not.

A few playmakers will make all the difference in the world. Just compare this squad w/ Grant to it w/o him. So yes, the existing talent, at some positions, does make a difference.

It is never just one or two things that lead to 2 10 records - Ash and co are learning on the job and it shows. Schiano faced the same learning curve, although Ash will not have as long as GS to turn things around

The general perception was that Flood and his (mostly) not ready for prime time assistants were failing to develop the talent on the roster.

We're finding that there wasn't that much talent after Schiano's recruits left. That's why we're seeing what we're seeing. I'm not judging Ash until I see what kind of players he recruits and develops.

This season there clearly has been a lack of talent and player development.Elite programs have top tier talent and outstanding player development as they simply reload as players graduate or leave early for the NFL.In Rutgers case there is a dire need for better talent but success more likely will happen from player development because recruiting is such a difficult battle to overcome in the northeast with cherry picking of the top tier recruits by perceived elite schools.
