I was so impressed by just about every facet of the game for Rutgers today. Unfortunately we did not get a fair whistle at times and the quarterback position still continues to be a major liability. However everything else looks so good, especially the defense. I was expecting Iowa to score many points today, but they could not move the ball on this defense.

I think the team feels it has grown a great deal during this game. It would have been great to get the win, but to see the level of play that took place today against a ranked team feels really good.

Perfect post.... anyone who is unhappy with today needs a reality check. This team won 12 games last year, and was a dark horse for playoff. Yes some really bad calls that didn't go our way, and yes we still struggle in the QB spot. So if you want to be disappointed in that ok, but this was a fun game and a what B1G football is. Our d played the best it's looked in a long long time, kicking game was good, our fans stayed till the end! Sounds like what we all signed up for. We are improving!

I know we didn't chalk up a W today, but it sure as hell beats watching us be embarrassed by every B1G team with a pulse.

I was just hoping we could keep it close and not get waxed at home. For recruiting purposes, we need to show these kids that we will put up a fight and not just lay down….

Disappointed about losing, but like the fact that RU was highly competitive against Iowa who is considered a top B1G program.

The only point of distress is qb. If he's improving he's doing so very slowly, and qb puts a ceiling on the entire team. But the overall improvement in team play since washington gives me confidence in our coaching staff that I haven't had with previous staffs, so I have confidence they will work past the problems or finally replace him.

"They are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook!"

That game was ours. Not mad, just disappointed. Looking at maybe 1 conference win again.

Well done. Agree wholeheartedly.
