Nice win on Saturday. I would also like to thank you for letting us grab Wadley. You've been good to us over the years, but this kid is electrifying. Thank you. Oh yeah, good luck this Saturday.

Thanks. We need to start keeping kids home, and Ash is beginning to do that.

See you in 2 weeks!

Didn't Iowa also get a QB who had committed to us but decommitted that year when Flood's class fell apart? He was from Michigan. We got Gio instead. Is that fellow playing for Iowa nowadays? If so, how is he doing?

thanks.

Weigers I believe? No clue if he's playing/how he's doing.

Weigers was the #2 last season because Rudock transferred and the other guy is now somewhere else too.

However, Weigers was beaten out for the #2 spot by a true freshman

Yeah, although Weigers was a good prospect, when we replaced him with Gio we wound up with a QB with a better chance to play than Weigers ever would have had, in all likelihood, in a power spread system. Nothing against Weigers, but he's a pure drop back guy.

Coincidentally, I believe both Gio and Weigers are from the Detroit metro area and had the same private QB instructor.

Weigers flipped to Iowa after the stupid Jevon Tyree story (he was probably just looking for an excuse...kid is from Big Ten country and probably felt like Iowa was more like what he wanted in a school); we then went into the same area (east Michigan) and got Rescigno to replace him. It seemed like a downgrade at the time, but Gio does fit the new offense much better.

Who the hell is Wadley? Whoever he is, he's a nobody here in his home state.

I honestly had to look him up. He was apparently ranked the #52 prospect out of NJ in 2013, a 5.2 2* on Rivals. Offers from Iowa and Temple. 247 indicates he had interest in Rutgers, but no offer. He was actually the lowest ranked guy from NJ on Rivals to commit to a P5 school in 2013.

Glad to hear he's doing well, I guess. One of those unheralded guys that the rating agencies and most programs whiff on - like Devin McCourty (also a 5.2 2*) or PJ Walker (a 5.4 2*, also in 2013).

So Wadley was a 2* from Weequahic HS. Just looked him up. He ran for 4 TDs last year against North Western.

Figures we pass on the one kid from that school who could actually qualify.
