"This distinguished award shines a spotlight on student-athletes who have shown dedication to service in their communities."

Greg is one of 106 Division 1 basketball nominees. "A member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and team leader for the Team Impact relationship with Sean Moffit, Lewis has visited Robert Wood Johnson Children’s Hospital and volunteered at Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen. He has also participated in Toys for Tots holiday gift give away and served as a volunteer for both Urban Impact and the Special Olympics."

Good for him. Always nice to see student athletes recognize the importance of devoting their time to such worthy causes off the court.

Great to hear! I root for him more than anyone else on the court and I told him that at the CC open practice. Just a wonderful young man. The optimum example of a non-quitter. Almost every team has a spot on its roster for an experienced 6-9 player, which he found out after graduating earlier this year. He had several opportunities to leave RU and play his final year elsewhere. He didn't give it much thought, though. He loves Rutgers and wants to end his career where he started it. He deserves a rousing standing ovation when senior day rolls around.
