I just want to share one thought about your earlier post - quite accidentally my wife and I had a bit of contact with CVS (which doesn't mean she would know who we were), her late mother and a few other team related folks very shortly after she became coach. There are 2 things that were made crystal clear in our contacts - CVS wanted nothing more than to recruit in NJ, as she did so successfully at Iowa, but she was never able to make inroads at a lot of schools (she did get Essence, Kia, others from the general area). And she also made very clear that "tell her where to be to promote the team and she'll be there" but unfortunately, little was done to take advantage of that at that time.I won’t be posting in this thread again, but I have been a Rutgers sports fan since 1976. Chris Ash, Fred Hill Jr., Kevin Bannon, Terry Shea, Mike Rice , and Dick Anderson have three things in common. Two are obvious and the third is they were HORRIBLE coaches at Rutgers. Some just didn’t get us to bowl games/NCAAs and some were screwballs that embarrassed the university. Don’t think I have ever heard anything like that about Coach Stringer.—Go Rutgers !!!
