Last year he still sounded a little young and green for my taste. Him and his father used to sit a few rows in front of me when I had season tix back in the Waters days. Needless to say he was very young then, too... very animated in the crowd, showed good passion, but he was a kid. Last year when I listened to him, I still pictured and heard that "kid".
Well, I feel totally different now about him after hearing him call the Molloy game. He sounded mature, wise, very knowledgeable of the team, and he didn't really come off as an over-the-top homer at all IMO. Sure he hardly talked about Molloy, but hey, they're D2, plus it was BTN Plus student or whatever they were calling it, so it was basically like watching RVision. But I thought he did a REALLY nice job, seemed natural, and criticized our players for certain decisions when it seemed warranted.
If you're reading this, nice job Danny! Keep up the good work.
