Last year he still sounded a little young and green for my taste. Him and his father used to sit a few rows in front of me when I had season tix back in the Waters days. Needless to say he was very young then, too... very animated in the crowd, showed good passion, but he was a kid. Last year when I listened to him, I still pictured and heard that "kid".

Well, I feel totally different now about him after hearing him call the Molloy game. He sounded mature, wise, very knowledgeable of the team, and he didn't really come off as an over-the-top homer at all IMO. Sure he hardly talked about Molloy, but hey, they're D2, plus it was BTN Plus student or whatever they were calling it, so it was basically like watching RVision. But I thought he did a REALLY nice job, seemed natural, and criticized our players for certain decisions when it seemed warranted.

If you're reading this, nice job Danny! Keep up the good work.

Danny is great. I wish Danny was our full time forever announcer but I know he must watch out for his future. Best of luck to him. I didn't hear him on the Molloy game as I was at the game and will be at every home game plus some away games.

Been around here long enough that I remember when he used to post on these boards as a kid.

Really enjoyed his call of the game.

I know Danny. Anytime I see a thread about him, I throw him props. He's an awesome announcer who does his research.

Danny always had the talent for announcing but he went on hiatus to take his classes at NYU Stern.

All,

Thanks! Much appreciated. Kevin Fitzgerald was fun to work with, and I'm glad you enjoyed the broadcast. Coach Pikiell gave us plenty of good tidbits to share.

Dirty- the Breslauer family still has those seats in the 206 perch... as dad is in his 43rd year at RU. I'll be back as a fan for a couple late November games & hopefully some in B1G play. I watch every game with the same ridiculous intensity on TV from NYC as I did in those days (starting to make me gray at 28, haha). I remember your graphics fondly from my high school days as a poster here.

Knights1212 - thank you, hope your family is well. Felonious - HP for life (10 year HPHS reunion in 2 weeks). Rutg, biazza, Chrisman - thank you for the props!

I am indebted to Rutgers for the 10 years there as an announcer (4 at WRSU & 6 with RVision). It has been so awesome that the Athletics team has let me keep my toe in some fill-ins while I complete my MBA at NYU Stern (May 2017). We'll see if I can swing it once I'm back in the work force in media business development.

Very excited to follow Pikiell's program building job. Hope to see some of you at the RAC or in NYC for a game watch.

2-0. Go RU!

Best,

Danny

Awesome Danny. Keep up the great work, love you on the call. I remember you spoke to one of my huge lecture media classes taught by Steve Miller my freshman year, was really impressed by you and still am. Hope NYU is great!
