I have a serious question about today's DB play. I was at the game and obviously saw what everyone saw, but it's tough from the 33rd row, especially with those jerseys. Can someone who either watched at home or just has a good eye for such things tell me what you saw specifically? Who was good, if anyone, in our defensive backfield? Who looks like they're lost out there? Who do you think should be our top guys back there going forward?

I sit at the 10 Yard line in row 5 so not a great view.
It did look like Austin, Hampton, and Wharton were very confused out there. Blown coverages...particularly on the 2 Norfolk State scoring drives that were all Passes. Maybe 1st Half nerves ???

The new guys were overwhelmed by the speed of the game in the first quarter. Austin will be very good - he takes good angles to the ball and on his better plays isn't soft on his coverages.

Scary with the four and five receiver sets we will see next week
Washington State did lose to Portland State so hopefully we can learn how to shut them down

I like what I saw from Adams, Austin not so much
I believe Austin was the one that would line up on the receiver then before the ball is snapped turn on an angle looking away from the receiver he was covering and looking towards the QB. And the result was getting tourched. What the he'll was that?

It's called technique that works in high school, but not here.
