Diallo to Manhattan as grad transfer

Not a bad spot at all for him. I thought he showed some potential, but it was going to be tough for him in the B1G. The MAAC with Massielo may be a good fit.

I’m happy for him too.. and a little surprised. I think the MAAC may still be a stretch but I hope he does well.
The MAAC will be a stretch for him but if he just focuses in on rebounding he can grab some boards and if he plays against teams without height (which some MAAC teams do not have) - he may score some easy buckets.

Unfortunately, Manhattan plays Monmouth on 1/5 so can't see him as we play Wisconsin that night.

Rutgers’ Luis Flores was a guard who transferred to Manhattan (more than a few years ago) and gave them a solid year or two of play. Flores won the Haggerty Award (NYC area’s best player) at Manhattan, of course.

BTW my following college hoops goes back to the days of Manhattan having Larry Lembo in their backcourt. Lembo went on to become one of the best basketball refs of his era.

Good luck, Diallo. He was never healthy enough to give a full effort here. When he was, it was like he had too short of time to really show it, or get any kind of momentum.

I hope he does great next year, and finds his groove.
