You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by doing the right thing and rooting against both teams.
Hopefully you will keep this in mind during the CFP semifinals
Certain fans around here bitch about the BIG, saying it cant win the national championship enough , bla, bla , bla and use that to disparage RU--you know who you are Bac, et al. So root for the BIG, it helps our standing and if you are a fan of Ru, its the right thing to do. The better the league looks the better for us.

The Pedd St defense routinely does a mime spanking and be quiet as a celebration. They know exactly who they are. At best they are ignorantly oblivious to what came before them. Rooting for them would be like rooting for Hitler.
While I will not root for them ever, rooting for them is not like rooting for Hitler. It's much more similar if you were rooting for Germany that still loved Hitler.

As I have said many times- We are in the B1G now and the B1G will always be considered either the #1 or #2 conference no matter who wins the Championship.
I would love to understand how PSU or Michigan winning the NC means a damn thing to us.
I for one, didn’t see anything different this year after Mich won the NC.
So, why in any world would I ever cheer for either POS program?
And while I understand why some dislike ND- how anyone can have them below PSU or Michigan winning the boggles my mind

I would imagine the next media deal will involved discussion around viewers and media engagement.
Having national championship teams leads to more viewers for the conference and elevated media status (real or not).
This could make the Big Ten a more valued property compared to the SEC specifically.
#1 gets more money than #2
More valued means more money for the Big Ten.
That means more money for Rutgers.
It’s not hard to see why PSU or UM (or any other Big Ten team) winning championships are in the best interest of Rutgers.
And if PSU sucks ass and OSU, Oregon etc continue to do well…let OSU fail to 0-12 every damn year.
We are not in a conference that viewership is going down if PSU sucks.
Everyone really needs to understand one thing- the B1G is a part of the 2 elite conferences- we are not getting a worse TV deal ever.,,
Do you want a better TV deal than the SEC?
Want to be #2 to the SEC and give them that edge?
Wouldn’t OSU or PSU winning be a better result than Texas or Georgia winning?
Everything is a competition between SEC and Big Ten.
Advertisers, investors, business partners.
Not sure how it’s difficult to follow that a Big Ten team (any team - has nothing to do with PSU) winning a national championship is better than a SEC team.
But sure, root for the SEC if you want. I’ll prefer the conference Rutgers is in to win.
Just hope you aren’t one of the people complaining about “SEC bias” and Alabama wanting to be in the CFP.
I want anyone in the B1G except PSU. I really don’t want Michigan to win it either but that is better than SEC.
And the B1G TV deal is not going to be hurt by it regardless.
My order of preference is any
1) B1G but PSU
2) Any Conference except SEC
3) Any team except ND
4) Never PSU
And you obviously don’t know many Texas, Georgia or Alabama fans. F the SEC. B1G all the way right now until we get to a higher level in conference. Anyone but the SEC.
