Did student section sellout for psu game

I heard 12k student tickets were claimed.
There are plenty of unsold seats in the upper deck if they want to distribute even more student tickets.

Rutgers just posted on Twitter that the student section is officially sold out
I'd give them them the rest of the unused tickets by 3 pm today. Lets see how many fannies they can squeeze in those sections
every single unsold seat in the place including unclaimed family and dignitary tickets.
Just to get something very clear:
to those who like to rip the students, typically for little reason, not one of us who graduated prior to 2006 could have ever, ever, EVER said that their student body "claimed" 12,000 tickets to a game in which we were headed in at 2-8. How many show up, we'll see, but I'd be willing to bet 10K or more.

Exactly...to those who worried about returning to the dark days...aint happening. We have a fan base that may dejected but aint out by the long shot And we are all dying for a winner.
If we were 2-8..in the past...we would have been lucky for 1200 students in a game regardless who we were playing, let alone 12000 request

12K students is actually one of the bigger student sections in the country as well.
You can't tell this board that. They won't believe it, however, it's a fact. One of the 15-20 or so biggest IIRC.
Yup. Just ask a MD student about their football turnout. It has been terrible for even their "big" games even after a 4-0 start. RU students are not the problem. Win and they will be camping out for tickets!
My guess is student section 90-95% full for a portion of the game. Night game, PSU, good weather, etc...again, even if it's 30% full it would blow away any type of # ever seen on campus for a 2-8 team.
It's Penn freaking State. Doesn't matter if we are 0-11 coming in. Every other year this game will be our Super Bowl.
Any given Saturday my freinds! ..... Be nice to send these seniors out with a win and a "storm the field".
You graduated in '99? If we played PSU in '99, in Piscataway, 0-11, we'd draw about 2,000 students. Mark my word. Same for when I was in school.

I was going to go for 4 but I like odd numbers. Seriously it's a night game so I bet most of them make it falling down drunk.
Let's be fair here. How many of those 2-8 seasons had home games with a team like Penn State coming up? Hmmmm?
WVU/'Cuse a couple of times? Wouldn't have made any difference to be honest. Things have changed.
