That's because it wasn't a foul. I know, I know that never stopped officials of changing the game. But here kudos to the officials from holding their whistles and let the game be decided by the players. Good no call.Really surprised they didn't call foul and Laws last drive.
Not saying you're not telling the truth but I'd love to see some other inbounds plays from other games to compare. I watch a lot of basketball. a LOT. That was a very quick 5Just stop watched the inbound play and it was 5 seconds. In fact 5.2 seconds.

They started the 5 second count once the ref handed it to him. That is what I timed as well. I wouldn't argue that usually they count slow and it is 6 sec but it was 5 seconds from when he handed him the ball.Usually the 5 starts once the player claps the ball

I also checked it and it was slightly over 5 seconds. And 17 fouls on them to 16 on us. Refs were pretty good tonight IMO.
It's a little tougher without a true PG. Baker got free coming back toward the ball to Harper's left but RH wasn't looking for him. If he gets it to Baker, he's facing the corner and is a 6'4" guy without classic nifty PG handles and NW with the possession arrow. Lots of opportunity for things to go wrong there. But beats the hell out of a 5 second call, so.not going to complain, Ron and the team have to do better there, sometimes maybe the simple inbound is better.
I thought the refs were fine tonight. I am beginning to think that our fans are fond of the Big East and used to officiating there where a foul is called every minute and all the games are ugly. Big 10 refs seem to let alot go and I am fine with that.
I think there was a non call late on Rutgers...they mugged Vic Law at around the 3:30-4 minute mark. But Eugene was tackled too with no call. I think calls even out in the end.
I thought the refs were good. Very even imo.
Yeah but then we may have gotten away with a foul as a makeup call. No harm no foul. If we lost......$&%%*%#€£Anyone who doesn't think that 5 sec call wasn't a scr*w job, well what can you say.

What does the ref do if player doesn’t clap ball?
Agreed ...i was shocked that wasn’t called .Hummel and the guys in the studio thought that Law may have been fouled on the drive when they were down just 1 with 12 seconds left but no call.
all the calls end up working out and evening out. Most of the time RU fans are paying attention to the ones NOT called on us
Oh yeah I rewatched it twice. Before Harper even got the ball the refs arm moved indicating 1 second; What a joke I timed it twice it was 4 seconds maxBut F YOU REFS on the 5 seconds. That was the fastest 5 seconds in history.

No they don't many times & it may surprise you to know that most of the time RU fans are watching everything.Hummel and the guys in the studio thought that Law may have been fouled on the drive when they were down just 1 with 12 seconds left but no call.

It seemed a little quick but we gave them an excuse there. That play wasn’t great - I was surprised we didn’t cal time. Maybe we were out.
