The NCAA and it's infinite wisdom makes another dumb move.
"But some took issue with the NCAA's statement, particularly the portion regarding limited space in the area. One of those who did was Will Abrams, the Director of Player Development for Rutgers women's basketball, who showed a video of a rather empty large room with one practice court, implying that there actually was space for a larger gym. This was also hammered home by Kendric Lindsey, a digital content creator for University of South Carolina women's basketball."
Yet another issue with RU, Will Abrams, et al.

Actually, I would rather it be the director of player development pointing out the problem than a player. But the players are justified to comment about the disparity. Sedona Prince (Oregon post) had video on twitter and probably elsewhere pretty early yesterday. The Stanford trainer (I forget name) also was widely circulated as commenting.
What is amazing (but probably should not be) is that the NCAA thought it would be acceptable and not noticed. The NCAA response that there was not enough room in the Texas facilities was laughable with the evidence. I believe that there are 26 schools who have both men and women teams in the NCAA basketball tournaments and some of those teams probably have some level of communication even if they are separated by the distance from TX to IN. Renting all of that equipment, even if the space was apparently available, is expensive and probably was not budgeted by the NCAA for the women's side which loses money. I suppose that the NCAA cannot admit that (it was too expensive). Maybe they were hoping that the San Antonio organizing committee would find donors and they could not. I am hoping that the hotels where they are staying have some available fitness facilities that are considered in the bubble - otherwise the ladies may be going even more stir crazy.
The swag bags comparison is just another complaint. Does not affect the ability of the players to prepare but is another example of disparity. Although the difference in the amount of sanitizer wipes might be a factor in health. I am pretty confident that this is not the first year that there is a difference in swag bags or other accommodations.

GO RU! Help the B1G look better than Mich State or Ohio State have on the male side.

Edited to add video of the team not being affected by the weight room deficiencies.
