Do you find it as annoying as I do...

when a reporter or blogger shills for the hiring of a high school coach for the Rutgers job? Is it just me, but do you think that Adam Zagoria is doing anything other than "paying back" Kevin Boyle for the access to information that he is given on the recruiting front? His constant tweeting and articles about Boyle are -- at least to me -- so transparent.

I-- for one -- don't see the humor. Stop shilling for your friends and do some real research! Build them up and tear them down -- the media's mantra.

don't really understand this shot...do you want him to write about 28 games losing streaks and 0-34 vs 250 instead...same thing could be said for people that defend that. Are writers allowed to have opinions that maybe things aren't great here based on the numbers

That is not what he's doing. He is suggesting Boyle should be the next coach. It's obvious if you read his blog and tweets on a regular basis. He has a bromance with Boyle because he's paying him back for the access that has been given to him. That is my opinion.

No problems with this Zag tweet, we knows he's not pro rutgers, but how can he be when HE is more active on the NJ recruiting scene than the coaches of the state university of NJ? Not saying he should be, but if Boyle were ever coach here, the talent level would be much different here

that's Zags opinion, Boyle may be his friend. It works that way in media. They take care of their friends. If he wants to push Boyle for the job so be it. There are other media guys who think Eddie should stay as well.

If this person was the HC, maybe if he was the HC, this coach would have done better and everyone would jump at the chance to kill their career just because RU fans think they would come if offered..

Ever think none of them wanted the position , because they felt they would fail with the type of support they would get.
Why hasn't RU hired a instant game changer if it's so easy for someone to be a winner at RU.
Maybe it''s not as easy as some seem to think it is and the better candidates refuse to put themselves in a position to fail without RU agreeing to what they demand.

Zag can imply what he wants, but a successful HC (HS or College) isn't going to become the RU MBB HC without some assurances that he'll be given the time and authority ( besides a descent salary) that he feels he needs to turn the RU MBB program around.
Years ago the cry was for Bob Hurley Sr.
I expect years from now a new HS MBB HC will be considered a possible savior, if RU's MBB program is like it has been for many many years .

Would Zags has sent a similar tweet if Boyle had coached in NYC about St. John's? I do not think so and that is why I no longer open zags blog.

I find it much more annoying when somebody uses the title of their OP to lead into the body of the post. Loathe that.
