It's not rocket science here.
Take two equal youth soccer teams and watch the well coached organized team kick the ass of the other one.

Need I say more, oh yea embarrassing to the state of NJ

Yeah completely I know the guy has more that alot on his plate but this should have been handled and Donnigan terminated last year no questions asked as we have also discussed the women's lacrosse coach just no reason she still has a job

Men's soccer should be a nationally recognized team with the right people in charge. Everyone predicted the disaster this year would be with Donigan except Hobbs. Very short sighted to not buy-out the contract and get a real coach.

Hobbs knows what's going on. He will get to it and do it right when he does.
I guess, but it never seems like a great idea to let a program languish so long especially when the sport is one that should and could be a top program among men’s sports here.

Honestly, I think the alums need to step up more. It's not a surprise that the programs getting the most attention also have the most alumni involvement (outside of hoops and fball). Specifically wrestling and mlax.

Hobbs wants to and realizes we can win big in soccer. But he isn't the type of guy to half ass it. He will have the time to dedicate proper effort. He walked into a complete shitshow. Almost every single program needed attention, combined with closing the gap on fundraising and building acceptable facilities. He's been doing incredible work. Pat's been on the job less than 3 years. He's done a tremendous amount in that time frame. Once he gets to soccer, which I'm quite sure will happen this year unless Donigan makes some miraculous turnaround, he will make a great hire.

I hear you and trust he will do just that. Just sucks having to watch the shitshow for now.

Just remember this regarding Hobbs: he's under a TON of pressure to make fiscally responsible decisions within the athletic department. Due to inept leadership prior, RU is still paying many people checks worth a lot of money.

Guys!! How many times does this need to be rehashed? Hobbs can’t tackle every sport at once. It’s unfortunate, but soccer got the short end of the stick. I’m going to lose my mind if I have to hear how Hobbs “dropped the ball” one more time. Money is being spent on other teams at the moment. It’s possible that Hobbs may want to hire a new coach to coincide with new facilities so his hire actually has something to work with. If he hires a new coach, but nothing else changes... then he won’t be giving his new hire much to work with

Interesting, perspective on RU soccer from NJ media—I mean it’s obvioisly out of date now, but the thought that Donigan consistently draws praise . . .
“In men’s soccer, coach Dan Donigan has drawn consistent praise in New Jersey soccer circles for his recent recruiting efforts and he added a pair of instant-impact transfers in Kevin Silva and Vincenzo Pugliese.”

Of course Silva never really set foot on campus and I don’t know about the other guy and his instant impact.
