On BTN women’s report. Only caught last half. T Baby was named to something - all defensive team, I think but just caught the end of that portion of the show

By and large a lot of uniformity between the coaches and media. Had 8/10 same first team selections (Patberg, Doyle, Charles, Hillmon, Pulliam, Juhász, Harris, Guirantes). Coaches had Berger (IN) and Scheid (NW) first team, while media had Czinano (IA) and McDaniel (PSU).

Went back and looked at preseason All Big 10 pics; coaches stayed with 7/11 preseason selections; media stayed with 6/10. Both had Mich St's Colley (injury) and Minnesota's Pitts (left team) on the first team. Both also had MD's Mikesell and Purdue's McLaughlin on first team--they ended up on 3rd team. Neither had Guirantes, who ended up on both first teams.

Also w scoring, Arella accounted for 30 % of her teams points (RU avg 66.8/g, Arella, 20/g) where as Doyle only accounted for 22.7 per cent of her teams points, Iowa avgeraged 80 ppg, Doyle 18.2 )

Doyle also led the league in assists (over 6 per game, about double of Arella) which is direct points to her team.

Look I wanted Arella to win too, and was hoping for a split vote, but Doyle is hardly a bad choice, especially since she led her team to a top 3 finish when little was expected of Iowa going into season.

Arella might not have become the B1G POY,
but she is the BIG RU POY that made this season a success.
In our hearts Doyle didn't mean as much to her team as Arella meant to RU , no matter how great she was this year playing for the Hawkeyes.

Notice anybody missing? And Rutgers finshed 5th and wasn't expected to do much either. Not a very strong arguement. Better to just say the B1G doesn't like to be so wrong and clearly you're not getting any Media help from Mid-America.
