That video in the link is worth watching. Did not realize Dunleavy wrote for the Targum and his first practice was Schiano's first practice. Sarge's story is pretty hilarious-his first practice was a Shea practice where Shea's dog crapped on the field--maybe it was a sign of things to come? [roll]

This is a very good hire. It seems like... glup... NJ.Com is actually trying to improve their coverage of Rutgers. The change started with the new AD was hired. It has been pretty good since then and it has been improving.

I think they really hated JH.

APP is part of Gannett, which shares sports coverage with Home News and Tribune and USA Today. Should have more stain that NJ.Com/Star-Ledger, but they do get their talent poached regularly.

Hobbs is quite connected, he even has friends in high places(some the highest you can go) at certain media outlets. He used his time as an ombudsman to the governor to make some powerful allies.

I was very good friends with Bourbeau as a kid, going back to elementary school. He always wanted to be a sports reporter and in HS he hung around a lot with Jim Hunter, the Orioles broadcaster.
