Ok, I'm starting to understand where some of the commentary on this year's team is coming from. Lol that crowd doesn't like the NBA for whatever reason, they definitely don't like one and dones in the NIL era and playing for Rutgers? That crowd will have no patience for freshman trying to figure it out, only way they can accept this type of lavishness is if they win! I get it, but crazy amounts of money are generated, that money has to go somewhere, might as well go to the athletes..
It's a whole thing with older people..I'm assuming they won't even like basketball anymore or maybe they will watch highschool or the ivy Leagues. Even high caliber highschool players are getting nil deals and transferring to powerhouses from smaller schools legally now..guess they will move on to hokey until that sport reaches their financial goals and start giving out half billion dollar contracts, there is some time left until that happens though for all of the anti capitalism folks.

Tbh I don't know much about the finances of highschool football. I'm gonna assume that schools like Bergen Catholic and don Bosco make money some how? In a time when Catholic schools were going bankrupt because of all the settlements, the football powers were pouring money into their programs. They are marketing these teams so that I may want to go watch the Bergen Catholic game to see Quincy porter play or go check out Lamar best at sjr..so if a recruiter is offering to pay a player it's because the school wants to use the name image and likeness of the team to make money. They are part of the team....but again idk the finances of highschool football..
