Unreal. Our fans blow.

We did this to Saeed Blacknall too. Incessantly, over and over again, asking the same inane questions:

“When are you doing to decommit?”
“Everyone has decommitted are you decommitting now too?”
“Just checking — you’re still committed right?”
“Blink twice if you’re decommitted”

And then, finally, when the poor shlub puts us out of our misery and decommits after we hammered him with those absurd questions for months the “fans” complained again anyway.

My favorite genre of Rutgers message board posts is people trying to decipher an 18 year olds Instagram posts like its the rosetta stone.. The official team account announced ogbole’s injury. I don't think they would let Dylan make an ambiguous post about his health without an official statement first

I don't think they have say in an 18-year olds instagram posts fwiw.

Everyone gets upset when people try to decipher if a social media post might mean something ominous, but get all excited when it's pro-RU. I agree with others that it might signal him shutting it down. Let's see. It's ok to share these even if it amounts to nothing imo.

Did Wachtel know something when he tweeted last night about DH potentially shutting it down rest of the season?

Man, imagine if the team was actually good this year and humming right now? Almost makes this easier that the season has already gone down the tubes.

Asking around right now.

The last slide and the music choice don't me feel all that great here. Not going to lie I'm shocked he knows of Drake's Take Care album, that's my generation not his.
You can take the music choice a couple of ways: frustration over the injury, but committed in coming back. Or it could be expressing a disappointment in his time at RU ending. This reminds me of the Beatles and the Paul is dead thing. 🤣

Can we just establish that “shutting it down” and being too injured to play are different?

The former has a negative connotation, and I might need to be committed if people on here start taking a victory lap on their predictions that Ace/Dylan would quit on the team because they aren't playing well. Injury is an entirely different situation.

They are different but tied together. Shutting it down is not necessarily a negative connotation either as it’s also an injury based decision. Shutting it down doesn’t equal quitting.

For sure. But the context and tone in which that idea has been floated on the board is more so of them being negative nancies and thinking that Dylan/Ace would stop playing because the team stinks

It was brought up as a possibility before the season started as well. This OP was not negative or a negative context. I think the reaction had been more negative than the acknowledgement of the reality a potential text book shutting it down situation was brewing (comes in different shapes and sizes).

Given what I’ve observed of him in high school and now this season, he doesn’t do well mentally/physicsally playing at less than 100. For that reason he won’t be back any time soon if ever.

The smartest thing people on this board can do is get mentally ready to watch Jeremiah Williams man the point with Acuff as the secondary scorer.

Dear God

@Richie O Has anyone acknowledged/confirmed what the actual injury is? Meaning, have they confirmed it's an ankle sprain or is there possibly something more?
