I haven't paid attention to them, but perhaps they're dealing with lack of depth and injuries too.

I think it's gonna be a rough season and predict a fair few meltdowns on this forum before the season's over.

The way we played against NW it'd be impressive if we score one TD before the end of the season. I really hope that was an aberration and that we win 3 more, but yikes that was horrid.

Rutgers covered 4 games in a row to start the season. So, no, they didn't overestimate us. Currently 4-2 against the spread in 2021. Factoring in the NW game, the future spreads will reflect the current status of the team.

I wouldn't bet on any of these as winning right now. We have virtually no offense!
Our D, which is good only against the run, is thinning out too and they spend most of the game on the field.
We have one real weapon and that is our punter. Sad
The projections had us beating Maryland right from the start and it is still glaringly overoptimistic about us winning. I have no idea why they think this.

Some fans will say “ Michigan sucks and that’s why we played them close.”

Flip it around and if NW gets blown out those same fans will say “NW sucks and we really suck.”

My reaction either way will be we were a better team when we played MICH than we were last week. Injuries are part of it. Matchups are also a part of it. Teams having film and how each team game plans is a big part of it. I just hope we get back to how we played in those first 4 games. Sutton isn’t returning but hopefully everyone else gets healthy and we take a big step forward next week at Illinois.

It was really hard to watch! But, our defense held NW and the refs to 21 points.
