ESPN Front Page: Ray Rice

Well Texan's star RB, Arian Foster, went down today with a significant injury that could keep him out a while .
This could be Ray's best chance at a tryout.

He's getting blackballed. I don't condone his actions. What he did was wrong. But every step along the way, he faced the music and answered every question. I'm not saying he should get a three year deal..... But the man should get a tryout. Tim Tebow got a tryout

He is sincere, contrite, remorseful. He, IMO, is a better man than Hardy or Peterson, and deserves another chance. He has been a model citizen since the incident, and is saying all the right things. Come on NFL!

Great argument. Ray is no worse than the worst domestic violence guys in the league. Let's sign him to a lucrative contract now ! smh

If guys like Hardy, Peterson and Vick get 2nd chances Rice should. The biggest thing against him is the video. If it hadn't leaked he'd be back in the league. We never saw video of what the other guys did.

Unfortunately for Ray, this is probably as much about his perceived ability level as it is about the domestic violence. Hardy and Peterson have jobs because their teams think they can still play and this outweighs the negative press and response. Ray only average a little more than 3 yards a carry 2 years ago. With the way NFL teams use and go through RBs these days, it's hard for a back to get a look with those numbers, even without the off field issues. I saw the interview on ESPN and Ray really has said and done all the rights things. I believe that he understands what he did and the repercussions of it and it truly sorry and has worked on it. I really want to see him get another chance, and I think he may get a look at some point, but it is going to be tough.

My Argument was that Ray deserves another chance because of his actions and remorsefulness.

I said it was my opinion that he is a better man than Hardy and Peterson, and nowhere did I say that is why he deserves a 2nd chance.

Be careful how you interpret others words. If you don't think he deserves another chance, fine, but maybe you should consider not being so condescending and go find another thread to shake your head at.

Reactions: RU at the shore
Agree there is no reason that he shouldn't be getting at least a look in a camp. Houston and Miami seem like good candidates.

There are far worse degenerates in the NFL right now than Ray Rice will ever be.

Again the backup to Rice averaged 2.9 a carry. maybe the offensive line was terrible for the Ravens.

My son is a huge Cowboys fan. He follows everything written and said about Dallas. He is hearing lots of talk about Ray going to the Cowboys. Makes lots of sense given the running back situation there and JJ's approach to players with bad reps.

The backup didn't knockout his girlfriend on video.

Who does the backup currently play for?

Is the backup over 30?
