great effort but you know what some on here have attacked pike, geo, kiss you can name more--all came through--some need to hold their negativity

His toughness is immeasurable. I just hope doesn't risk any more damage to his knee.

This thread is for him!
Wow! Just wow. Unbelievably tough.
You're not kidding! The kid is a warrior! As I mentioned in a thread after we lost to Northwestern, if he did play in that game we win that game. Just his physical presence in this game was huge. Yes, he only scored 8 points, but had 7 rebounds and really helped the kids up their game especially in the 2nd half. Now, I hope he's okay, because I still can't believe he played tonight. And he didn't just play a few minutes, but I think he played something like 27 minutes tonight. Just unbelievable. The kid is special and IMO, was the difference tonight in why we won, and that's not discounting Geo's great 2nd half performance, or Myles great play and Mathis' scoring.

I was and am a bit worried that we might have over used him, coming off the injury..... of course he would not want to come out of the game, and the idea would be to give him just enough minutes to make a difference, but not make the knee overly sore.

Nice job making a positive thread about a leader into message board garbage.

Eugene was a man amongst men tonight.

I too am concerned. He was really hobbling there in the end, and you could see he couldn't put any real weight on his left leg to jump.

yes, it looked like he limped a bit during time outs, but ran fairly well when playing....he could have been forcing himself to play well while it hurt....I did not notice the weakness in his jumping

Our equivalent of Willis Reed...was shocked he was out there based on how he looked on Friday.....but thus kid is as tough as nails...After the game, he was limping and worn however.....We don't win this game without him....

He played his usual game, the game we’re all familiar with. No Freeman 2.0. Didn’t jack 3s (and he had looks). Did dirty work and got hustle points. As long he’s ok, Eugene and Montez will bring it every night.
