I believe we have two coming. One from Long Island in 19 and this kid in 2020. He's intriguing. A lefty who faces off. That's unusual. Maybe Golfer could shed some light, given where he is from.

Yep. There is no other way to do it. I am guessing he is a left based on how he throws the ball.
It's not a first. We had a really good faceoff guy when I was there who was a lefty. It definitely adds a unique element.

Kids video is good, he has quick hands and a good handle once he gets the ball. He is not a mauler which we could use but Ott May fill that role eventually, I am a little concerned about the lack of a faceoff guy and how light we are in recruiting defensemen.

Based on the comments I read that winning 40%vs SU would have meant a win, it sounds worth the scholly.
Yea, but you might not have had the guys putting the ball in the goal or stopping it from going in. Tying up a scholarship on 1 player with 12.6 for a 45 man roster, at a position that is typically tough to project, and often injury riddled, is asking for disaster.

Yes, Connor is a DCC kid, he's currently playing with my younger son (we open up tomorrow night)
He's a good kid, and good player...we have three high end Fogos at Catholic Central which is a luxury.
Conor is a hybrid type kid IMO...he is a good fogo, but he's also a tough, hard nosed, gritty defensive midfielder, a ground ball machine, and has been on varsity since he was a freshman...which is rare here at DCC...when he was younger, Connor also played some LSM...
Bottom line, kid is tough, he's a grinder, he's a fogo, but he's also a utility recruit that I think BB can use in a number of places...

Thanks for the intel. I love kids like that. How's his speed? D middies are very valuable. No doubt he's got skills off the ground. It's a highlight tape but you can see it's all there. That's one of the areas that impress me the most about modern lacrosse players. Picking up groundballs. What we used to do as stick tricks, kids do in games routinely now. I saw AC pick up a groundball last weekend that was utterly ridiculous. Few people probably noticed it but it was an amazing display of skill under high duress.
I'm not sure on top end speed numbers for him...he's quick and aggressive to the ball...but again I'm not sure I'd call him a burner, but it's not fair for me to judge as I honestly don't know what his 40 number is...I'll sniff around...
I get you point on GB's...both my guys are offensive guys, shooters/finishers....but honestly I love two things more than anything when I watch lacrosse...I love watchig a kid getting a great GB in traffic and under duress...and second...I love watching skilled LSM play...I'm simply fascinated but the skill it takes to play high level LSM...
Conti's listed on the 2019 football commitment list who signed the letter of intent.
He was listed as a lacrosse commit as well. He’s the second guy we’ve lost to D1 football. Other kid went to Ohio St I think.
I guess gone forever are the days when someone like Bruce Van Ness played both.
Bruce is in the RU Football HOF and was an HM AA midfielder his junior year. Didn't play his senior year prepping for a shot at the NFL. Bounced around the league for a year and then went to Canada, where he was Rookie of the Year and an All-CFL TE. I ran on the same club midfield line with him for 2 years after he retired and came back to the US, which explains (along with living NJ again) my interest in RU lacrosse. At that point he was 6'3" 235, but I think he put on some weight as a pro. Played at various times RB, TE and QB for RU. Ran a 4.7 40 back then.
